We had another great week in the East Cape, with the tuna and dorado bite still holding up. The numbers on both tuna and dorado came down a bit from the last three weeks, but we also had less boats going out, so that may have had something to do with it.
We did see over 400 yellowfin tuna landed this week ranging in size from 15-80 pounds. Most of the tuna is still to the south near Cabo Pulmo and Los Frailes.
The dorado bite continues to be excellent with over 400 dorado landed this week ranging in size from 12-50 pounds. We had a really good dorado bite to the north near Bahia de Los Suenos, and near the ocho ocho marker.
We also saw a drop in the number of billfish landed with only 15 stripe marlin, 3 blue marlin and 9 sails landed this week.
Some of the other species we saw this week included 6 wahoo, 3 pampano, 10 pargo, 3 amber jacks and over 100 giant squid.
